Beauty Crush: The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter

Radiant-Highlighter
The hot new trend on the makeup and fashion scene is Strobing. We've all heard about it, seen it and long for that radiant, highlighted face. In fact, to achieve that illuminated and dewy look my latest makeup purchase has been The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter and I already feel like a pro and sometimes with this on I feel like a fashion model with a youthful and radiant glow (I know you did not believe the fashion model thing, but read till the end you'll start believing :p)

Unlike contouring, strobing is quite simple if you know the technique right. The idea of strobing is not to highlight all parts of the face but to make the necessary emphasis on makeup with a radiant highlighter. And for this particular makeup technique the best product I've come across is this Radiant Highlighter by The Body Shop.

The pink liquid when dabbed on skin gives a very nice "sheen" to it, making it look healthy and youthful. I've tried this product with my everyday makeup and for parties and functions too and I absolutely love it everytime I see it on me. Of course applying too much of the product can make you look like Tinkerbell but this radiant highlighter just gives you the right kind of sheen where the light hits on your face (Cheekbones, bridge of the nose, cupids bow, chin and centre of forehead). You won't believe it, but a pea-sized amount of the highlighter is enough for the face.

Do you see how beautifully it blends with the skin and gives it the radiant highlight? This works for me with my everyday look and even prettier in the evening lights of a party or a dinner. Priced at Rs. 1800 (a bit expensive), this highlighter is worth the purchase. Even if you're not a professional makeup artist you can still achieve the dewy, radiant and healthy looking skin with this highlighter and as it blends well on skin its suitable for all skin types. For me this is a must-have product now!

Steps to achieve glowing skin with Radiant Highlter

1. Even out your skin with a BB cream or a foundation.
2. Dispense a small amount of the liquid on a makeup sponge or your finger and dab it on the center of your forehead, bridge of the nose, under the eyebrows, cheekbones, cupids bow and chin.
3. Don't overdo it, you don't want to look like Tinkerbell, Remember? Excessive amount of highlighter will make the face look oily and fat. Radiance should be barely visible on skin, let the light do the rest for you.
